Joyce Omondi nominated for prestigious East African Award

Kenyan Gospel Musician and TV Host Joyce Omondi has been nominated for a prestigious East African Award.

The ‘Tumaini’ hit maker got her album titled ‘Spirit vs Soul’  nominated in the Outstanding Album category of the Maranatha Eastern Africa awards.

Her nomination for this awards comes weeks after she was nominated into the groove awards 2019 in the Video of the Year category.

This marks as a milestone in her music career considering that she bagged two nominations in a row.

Joyce Omondi’s released her album ‘Spirit Vs Soul’ in 2017 and it has 12 tracks on it.

The Singer has three albums since she ventured into the music industry and is popular for her debut album ‘Conquerer’.

Conquerer is  a personal testimony of God’s faithfulness and an expression of hope that the best is yet to come.

Joyce Omondi is competing for this award against 9 other nominees alongside two Kenyan gospel artistes Alice Kimanzi and Godwill Babette.

Maranatha is about acknowledging authentic biblical worship music and  the grand award Gala will be held on 18th August 2019.


Joyce Omondi is one of the top celebrities who serve as a role model for her being publicly passionate about religion and acts of service.

Omondi has been in ministry and the gospel space for years with her lifestyle serving as a testimony and fruits of being in Christ.
