Upcoming Kalenjin musician Olessos Melodies has revealed horror details of how her dancer and roommate Shakira Kanaiza stabbed her on Tuesday night.
According to Standard, the musician said that the two were watching a movie before her roommate left their apartment in Eldoret at around 1 am for unexpected long time.
She then called Kanaiza 45 minutes later warning her that the area was not particularly safe at that hour.

Ndio akachomoa hicho kisu alichokua nacho (She returned at around 2 pm but when I explained that it was not safe because we live next to the road she became agitated and whipped out a knife),” she told Standard.
She then stabbed her two times; on the shoulder and rib. In the process of trying to tried to wrestle the knife out of Kanaiza’s hands, she received cuts on her hands.
“Alikua amenikanyagia chini. Tuling’ang’ania kisu akanikataka kwa mikono.Kumbe alikua asha pack, alirusha bag yake nje na akatoka immediately. Ni kama kulikua na gari hapo nje lilikua linamngoja hangeweza kwenda hayo masaa haraka hivyo (She wrestled me to the ground. I tried to snatch the knife but got wounded in the process. Unbeknown to me, she had already packed. She thus threw her bag out and fled. A car was probably on standby)” she added.
“Hospitalini nilipata hayo majeraha hayakua deep sana. Jana nilikua bado in shock but saa hii nimepoa kidogo ( Upon examination, it was determined that the stab wounds were not deep, I am feeling better).”
Luckily, her neighbours rushed her to the hospital and reported to Racecourse Police Station.
A manhunt for the suspect was launched immediately.
