Just what many fans predicted! A big team like Barcelona losing two crucial matches and winning only a single trophy! That is an abomination and someone had to be sacrificed.
In this case, it is neither the club’s president or the captain. Unfortunately, it always the manager who carries the sins of everyone.
Barcelona began the season 2018-19 on a high note and for betting fans, they would bet in favour of Barca to lift all the trophies that would come their way.
Things began to boil at Nou Camp when the Blaugrana were knocked out of the Champions League competition by Liverpool in a very disgraceful manner.
Barcelona were the favourites after beating Liverpool 3-0 before the Reds overturned the joy to their side by thrashing Barca 4-0, ending their journey in the semi-finals.
The scenario reminded Barca of their past pain last season when Roma overturned Barca’s 4-1 victory in the first leg to 3-0 loss in Italy.
Fans were quick to point out where the problem was and demanded the firing of coach Ernesto Valverde though things went silent later.
They had hoped to win the Copa Del Rey to regain their faces.
Unfortunately, Valencia added hot coal on the open wound after they thrashed Barcelona 2-1 and denied them the chance to win double this season.
But someone had to be sacrificed for the whole mess!
Less than a week since losing Copa Del Rey final to Valencia, Barca have embarked on firing their coach Ernesto Valverde and the possible replacement has been found.
Roberto Martinez has been spotted as the best fit for Valverde’s position.

However, fans have not received the news well and have outpoured their anger through social media. They have faulted the club for choosing to make yet another mistake.
