Sergio Ramos desire to divorce Real Madrid to China soiled

Real Madrid star centre back defender, Sergio Ramos who had earlier on expressed his desire to move to China has been told not to expect an easy exit for the riches of the Chinese Super League according to a report from his club.

It is claimed that Real president Florentino Perez reacted furiously to suggestions that Ramos could walk away “easily” after 14 seasons in the Spanish capital, where he has won four La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.

The 33-year-old reportedly wants a free transfer to China following a disappointing and trophyless season for Real, during which they were embarrassingly bundled out of the Champions League by Ajax in the last-16 and finished 19 points behind champions Barcelona in La Liga.

The reunion of Zinedine Zidane with the club as the boss was supposed to inspire Real to reach the heights they scaled when winning four Champions League trophies in five seasons between 2014 and 2018, but Ramos now seemingly believes that enough is enough.

Reports levelled up claiming that Ramos, his brother and agent Rene Ramos, his lawyer Julio Senn and Perez have all held a meeting, during which the defender revealed that he had an offer from an unnamed Chinese club and the request to be allowed to leave on a free was made.

However, the President, Perez angrily responded by saying: “You cannot leave! Madrid can’t gift someone their captain.”

The president and club captain have reportedly held a rocky relationship since that loss to Ajax in March, with suggestions that there had been an altercation between them in the dressing room after the game.

Ramos was suspended for that second leg against Ajax a 4-1 loss and was spotted in the Bernabeu stands with a film crew recording a documentary about his life during the match.
