This is a toilet launched by the Tharaka Nithi county government. I do not know what inspired this project, but maybe the urgency ‘to go’ and ‘not to go just anywhere’ inspired this project. Twitter and Facebook are not calm however, and netizens; Kenyan netizens have been quick to react by posting hilarious tweets with photos of their respective County government expenditure.

Kenyans have had enough of the corruption scandals in the country and are coming up with new brilliant hashtags to at least help in fighting the vice that has ailed Kenya for years. The tweets seem to have been prompted by the latest summoning of Kiambu governor Ferdinand ‘Baba Yao’ Waititu by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and the recent Ksh 250,000 house allowance payout to MPs.
One project that actually caught my interest was when Maara south Member of Parliament was recently sported launching an electricity transformer in his constituency.
It also surprised me when president Uhuru went all the way to Machakos county when governor Alfred Mutua was launching various projects and a public toilet was one of them.

Using the hashtag #CongratulationsMheshimiwa, KOT have created mockery campaign posters for the politicians listing their ‘achievements’ mentioning that they will vote for them in 2022.
Humorously, all posters contain the same achievements and the same underlying quote ‘Kazi umefanya ukamaliza. Imebaki Siasa ya 2022’ (You have finished your job. What remains is the 2022 politics)

Angry Kenyans pointed out the funny things politicians have been launching which they (the politicians) call development. From toilets to cows and bridges, the projects the politicians have been launching as portrayed by the fed up Kenyans.
