Speaking on Sunday, Waititu set the record, saying he is a believer, and only fears God and hot porridge.

“I am a person of God and the Bible says that enemies will come, but God will scatter them. I fear God and hot porridge only. God has really helped me, he got me from the slums to becoming a governor and I believe He will get me out of this,” said Waititu.

This comes as the Governor’s homes were as early as 6 a.m. on Thursday raided by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission.

The governor was arrested, while the commission also went after his family.

A spot check on bank accounts operated by Governor Waititu revealed that there was nearly nothing in his deposits or savings.

One of the people detectives marked for investigations was Waititu’s daughter.

The daughter’s bank accounts are set to be frozen after detectives found crucial documents indicating money had been stashed there.

This follows attempts by the EACC to recover money stolen from Kiambu county.

It is believed that Waititu’s daughter has had 100 million kenyan shillings deposited in her account over last 8 months.

This raised brows as to how she could have acquired such amount of money in such a short period while.

EACC detectives have said that it is just a matter of time before they arrest and prosecute her for handling stolen money.
