Many could not fathom the idea of the existence of such a dangerous building especially after report that work continues on the site like nothing has happened.
“Work continues on this site like if nothing has happened. Maybe if a death occurs that is the time those concerned will act,” reacted John Kimani.

“The owner of this building/contractor should cater for this,” said Dalton Band.
“Simple precautions that we ignore would have cost a life,” William Chege also expressed.
Safety in kenya is a new term. You can find the contractor doesn’t have a safety officer. And the county engineers does nothing about it.

The incident closely follows a similar close tragedy when a portion of perimeter wall caved in with vehicles at parking space in Ruaka Kiambu county.
An aerial view from the storey parking space showed a car buried and stuck in debris.Residents claimed the ongoing construction on the adjacent plot led to the weakening of the boundary wall which made it to cave in after heavy rain.
