Big names in the transfer window rumor this summer season

The 2018-2019 season may be over for the majority of clubs in all the Leagues lest for those in the Champions or Europa League finals but the transfer window has been open and in full flow.

Despite the window being open for less than 10 days, there already have been signings in Europe in the major clubs but no major ones have been witnessed although that should be coming anytime before it is too late to do such.

But the widow normally opens up slowly and gets busier time keeps on running out when every team wakes up and do thunder signings.

Some of the world’s elite are linked with the next generation of young stars of the decade but the riddle has been who will be ending up to sign them.

Here is a look into the stars who have been in the mouth of a list of clubs every other day.

Matthijs de Ligt 

Matthijs de Ligt has had an amazing season for Ajax, playing a starring role in the Dutch sides formidable Champions League campaign and being crowned Eredivisie Champions for a record 34th time.

The teenager became Ajax’s youngest ever captain in a Champions League knockout game when they faced and defeated Real Madrid in the two times that the two sides met in the Champions League.

The talented defender is in demand with Man Utd and Spanish Champions Barcelona interested in the 19-year-old. Barcelona is the front runners but has hit a stumbling block in the player’s demands.

Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku has had gravel, up and down season alongside Manchester United and although he was favoured under Jose Mourinho’s regime, under the current boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Lukaku has been watching from the subs bench in most of the matches with his form dwindling in the late stages of the season.

The 26-year-old is rumoured to favour a move away from the Red Devils in search for first-team football, with Italy a preferred destination and Inter Milan interested in his signature.

According to reports from the club, it is indicated that Inter’s willingness to ‘offer’ star man Ivan Peresic plus cash in order to bring the Belgian striker in.

Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard is hot property this summer with the 28-year-old playing a starring role in Chelsea’s third-place finish, scoring 16 goals and topping the assist charts with 15 as well a guiding them into the finals of the Europa League.

Rumours have been surrounding Hazard for a while with a year left on his current contract with the Blues and Spanish giants Real Madrid keen on his signature this summer.

The talismanic winger has already stated to the club “I have made my decision”, what that decision is though is still a mystery. However numerous reports recently indicate a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale’s time in the Spanish capital is without a doubt coming to an end, his future is up in the air, despite the player wanting to stay. Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has also suggested that Bale doesn’t have a future at the club.

Bale has had a difficult stint in Spain since his move back in 2013when he was signed from Tottenham. However, the left-foot-sided player did score a memorising winning goal in last seasons Champions League final against Liverpool, securing Real’s 13th crown in the competition.

Rumours have recently indicated a move to either Man Utd or a homecoming back to Tottenham, with both clubs interested in signing the 29-year-old winger although the former has gone low o the matter because they are hunting for youthful players for longterm investment.

Leroy Sane

Leroy Sane has been linked with a move away from Manchester City this summer amid contract speculation. Sane played a role in City’s trophy rich season, where they completed the domestic treble and won the Community Shield although he has been used inconveniently.

The young German’s future was thrown further into doubt yesterday after Bayern Munich boss Uli Hoeness confirmed the Bavaria club were working on a deal.

The German Champions have made Sane their top target this summer to replace outgoing legends Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. It is rumoured that Bayern will give an opening bid of £70million for the 23-year-old.

Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann announced he would be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer after five years with the club. Speculation surrounding the news linked the Frenchman to a move to La Liga Champions Barcelona.

Griezmann was Atletico’s top scorer in each of the last five seasons, scoring a total of 133 goals in all competitions.

The Catalan club appears to be the sole interested party with Man City and PSG ruling themselves out of the running. Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde confirmed that contact had been made with Los Rojiblancos regarding a move for the striker.
