Messi Narrates Exact Feeling After Liverpool Defeat and Who is To Blame

The Champions League semi-finals had come and gone but people still talk about it! We are very much aware that Liverpool contested against Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur against Ajax.

Liverpool and Tottenham went through to the finals after successfully dealing a blow to their opponents.

Ajax had accepted and moved on and are actually looking forward to the next season’s Champions League since they have secured a slot.

Barcelona, on the other side, are still struggling to forget what Liverpool did to them.

We can remember too well that Barcelona hilariously celebrated after thrashing the Reds 3-0 at Nou Camp and many thought that that was the end of the journey for Liverpool. In fact, no one would bet in favour of Liverpool.

Coming to Anfield for the second leg, the England giants unleashed their true colours and frankly humiliated the Blaugrana with a historical 4-0 defeat.

Since then, the incident has been traumatizing Barca and the latest to state how frustrated he was is Barcelona captain Lionel Messi.

Messi has narrated how the Red Devils caused them sleepless nights as the pain left in their hearts was so deep that could not easily heal. He mentioned that it was a massive blow and something regrettable.

“The Liverpool thing was a hard blow, regrettable, and we have to ask for forgiveness,” Messi said.

The Argentinian forward also stated that the mistake was not the manager’s as he faulted the players for making a massive blunder.

“I would like Valverde to continue, it’s not his fault, it was the players.”

This was a real setback since they also succumbed to a similar humiliating the previous season when Roma pulled off a sensational second-leg comeback to beat Barcelona 3-0 and reach the Champions League semi-finals on away goals.

Barca fans were the most angered after the Liverpool incident since they faulted their team for repeating the same mistake for the second time in a row.
