Governor Josphat Nanok has ‘banned’ PR politicking in Turkana county. Josphat Nanok has been making headlines after crossing over from ODM and joining Jubilee.
But his region has been on a rough path that the Governor Nanok is now demanding to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Just days after the Deputy President finishing his tour to the region,Turkana has been rocked by massive insecurity.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i has tried to intervene by dispatching a team of top security officials to the North Rift region following a fresh wave of insecurity in the area.
The high-level team includes the Secretary of Internal Security, GSU Commandant, and the RDU Commandant.
The three will join the Rift Valley regional security team to reinforce operational responses and lead firm action against criminal elements in in Baringo, West Pokot, Samburu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Turkana and Laikipia counties.
But Dr Fred Matiang’i intervention is not enough to the Governor Nanok who is seeking to restore order in his county.
