Four children are recuperating at a Kericho Hospital after they were badly scalded with hot-boiling Chang’aa brew.

Reports indicated that tragedy began when a huge pot with the brew burst in the dead of the night as everyone in the family was asleep.

During the horrible incident, the four children were all asleep just below the boiling pot which happened to be in their bedroom.

The hot liquid is said to have flowed quickly onto where the children were sleeping, rendering over 40 per cent burns on the innocently sleeping kids.

Their mother who was in a different room would hear shrieks in the dead of the night and rush to see what it was when she found the room flooded with the hot brew.
