A man is nursing serious injuries after his wife chopped off his manhood for failing to speak to her.
The man identified as Stephen Omondi says his wife with whom they have a child, woke him up in the morning to a barrage of nagging and stress.
He would later tell his wife that he was not in the mood of starting his wife and proceed to the sitting room.
His wife is said to have continued with her rants and followed her to where he was, spoiling for a fight.
In the rising tensions, Omondi said that his wife grabbed a kitchen knife and chopped off his manhood in a bizarre incident that led to his hospitalization after excessive bleeding.
The woman is said to have demanded some money from Omondi which she would use as fare to her rural home.
Residents of Khalaba in Bungoma county have come to condemn the heinous act with some calling for the prosecution of Omondi’s wife.

“Men are born polygamous, there is no man who can stay (with) one wife,” said a lady identified as Janat. “That action is not good and that lady should be taken to police,” she added.
This comes years after a man in Kirinyaga chopped his own manhood for being “useless”.
On the New Year’s day of 2016, Leonard Kimotho was reported to have chopped off his genitals, saying they were of no use.
Reports indicate that Kimotho had been looking for a girlfriend for the longest time but could not land one.
Frustrated, the 25-year-old would grab a kitchen knife and chop of his genitals in protest.
