Here is Why Gor Mahia’s Chairman Won’t Share Their Success Secrets

Gor Mahia have once again proven to be the Kenya Premier League giants after clinching the title even before the season comes to an end.

Their dominance in the competition can be seen with the fact that K’Ogalo had several competitions to look forward to this season but still managed to leave the second club with a wide range.

In fact, the Green Army played most matches more than any other club in the Kenya Premier League; they were featured in several matches in the continental competition, Sportpesa Super Cup and the Premier League matches.

But Gor beat all odds to pen down yet another history in the Kenya Premier League.

The Green Army has accumulated 70 points from 32 games, 7 straight points behind the second Bandari. This means that even if Gor doesn’t play the remaining matches, Bandari cannot surpass them even if they win all the remaining two matches.

K’Ogalo now boasts of clinching the nation’s elite football title for the 18th time. The club that follows them closely is AFC Leopards. who have won it 12 times but did it last in 1998.

Gor goes down in history as the first Kenyan team to win the three-peat three times; they won their first three-peat in 1983, 1984 and 1985, their second three-peat was in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and now the third in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

But why have they dominated the Kenyan Premier League?

Of course, there must be a secret K’Ogalo use to play all the matches more than other clubs and still dominate them.

According to Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier, the club has mastered the art of winning. However, he wasn’t ready to share their success secret for fear that other clubs might use against them.

He said; “We have mastered the art of winning this thing but I am not about to share secrets of our success because we intend to keep winning,” bragged Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier.

“I also have to mention that this has been our toughest campaign yet. We had to compete in very many games and at some point we were stretched financially because we also had continental matches to honour. I wish to thank our sponsors, fans and all stakeholders for their support.”

The giants will be decorated and handed the League trophy within next week.
