‘Toothless’ DCI unable to capture Kimwarer and Gold scam cartels?

Flamboyant City Lawyer Donald Kipkorir has questioned the integrity of the Kenyan investigative institutions days after his return to the Country.

While talking to Twitter, lawyer Kipkorir got curious while he expressed his disappointment with the investigation process being carried out by the DCI. According to the vocal lawyer, it is barely two months since the Ksh 21billion Dam Scandal hit the headlines which saw various political figures mentioned in the loss of funds that were meant for the construction of the Arror and Kimwarer Dam in Elgeyo Marakwet.

“Been away for over a week but like I never left .. Those who stole our money from Arror & Kimwarer Dams are still free. Traders, whom everyone knows who they are, are still in freedom … These two Scandals bring together all the elements of Corruption. ARREST THEM ALL.”

He further added saying how the culprits of the Dam Scandal are still walking freely outside and Kenyans know them.

Kipkorir’s remarks came at a time when the Fake Gold Scandal is at the pick after Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula was linked into the scandal following leaked audio that surfaced the internet where a voice that sounded like that of his conversing with an Arab man.

However, the Senator who is currently attending the International Anti Corruption Conference in Hong Kong has not yet spoken about the audio even after the Director of Criminal Investigations launched for investigations of the audio.

The scam has also seen more suspects questioned by the DCI including businessman Zahir Jhanda who happens to be one of the leading culprits as well as Jared Otieno who is currently in custody for seven days to allow for investigations.
