Romelu Lukaku has not had the easiest time at Manchester United. And according to speculations, he is poised to leave the club sooner rather than later.
Indeed, according to Lukaku’s agent, Federico Pastorello thinks the Red Devils’ brand can withstand a season outside of the Champions League.
Manchester United are set to adopt a new transfer strategy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, where the target is young British players.
That could force the likes of Romelu Lukaku out of the club, but his agent does not doubt the enduring appeal of moving to the Theatre of Dreams.
‘I think Manchester United will have a lot of success in the summer bringing in players,’ said Federico Pastorello. ‘There will be a lot of work for Mr Woodward, but they will be able to convince the top players to come because the brand is amazing, one of the best in the world.’
Romelu Lukaku could be one of the victims of the rebuild at the club as the Belgian has recently talked up a move to Serie A, but the Red Devils would want to recoup the £75 million they paid for him two years ago to let him go.
Meanwhile Manchester United struggle to tie down their academy graduate Marcus Rashford to a new contract despite offering a bumper £300,000-a-week deal to the England international.
The youngster did have a solid season but rejecting the mammoth contract like this, could be a big mistake for the English centre-forward.
