“2022 utajua hujui,” Governor Joho tells Ruto

After being away for long from the political limelight, Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho has landed back in the arena with a ‘heavy’ 2022 message for the Deputy President William Ruto.

Joho warned Ruto of a tough contest in 2022 assuring him that the presidency will not come on a silver plate as he believes. Joho observed that Ruto his not electable and it is only a matter of time before this truth prevails.

“We have organized ourselves and come 2022 we will show that man dust.” Joho told Mombasa residents apparently referring to DP William Ruto. He also urged Ruto to stop mentioning the name of ODM Party leader Raila Odinga every day while making his speech.

He added that Ruto should stop defending President Kenyatta on the fake gold scam as the President does not need his protection. He told him to instead continue protecting corrupt individuals ‘like him’ the way he does.

DP Ruto defended President Kenyatta and asked those involved in the fake gold scam to leave the President’s name out of the scam.

“I tell our brothers in the opposition not to import their bad habits to Jubilee. They should shun engaging in dirty deals, corruption and conning others,” the Deputy President said.

“These people who are political conmen turned business conmen should carry their cross alone,” Ruto said in Endebes in Trans Nzoia on Saturday.

Joho said Raila Odinga was not involved in any way in the fake gold scam and the DP knows it. He added that Ruto was dragging Raila’s name in the scam for his (Ruto) political mileage.

Joho had recently been so silent on political matters with many asking if the 001 governor was in the country or feeling unwell.

The Mombasa Governor was speaking when hosted the Senate Minority leader Hon. James Orengo, Suna East MP. Hon. Junet Mohamed, Political leaders from the Coast, the Orange Democratic Movement Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and his fellow Muslim brothers and sisters for the Governor’s Iftar on Monday evening at Serani Arab Boys Ground.
