A man abandoned his car after an intense police car chase along the Kericho-Nairobi Highway.
Police noticed the man making a suspicious U-turn on the road when they decided to give a chase.
The man is said to have sped off to a Londiani Police station where he is reported to have abandoned the car and fled on foot.
Upon inspecting the car, police discovered bham]ng worth Sh4.2 million stashed in brown bags.
Londiani Deputy Commissioner Festus Munyao confirmed the incident, stating that the bhang which weighed 223kg in bags was being transported towards Nakuru.
The car was towed to Londiani Police Station.
“We don’t who the owner of the vehicle is, but we have forwarded the vehicle’s details to the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to track him,” Munyao said.
Munyao also said the hunt for the suspect was ongoing and that the details of the vehicle had been forwarded to the NTSA for confirmation.
