Grief gripped a village in Migori County after a form one student died while attempting to procure an abortion.
The student who is said to have completed her Primary studies four years ago but had not been able to join secondary school due to pregnancy died at Sori Lakeside Hospital.
The orphaned student is also said to be having two children and that the aborted foetus would have been baby number three.
Moments after procuring the abortion at a local hospital in Sori town, the student is said to have buried her foetus at her late parents’ home.
She would later go to school from where she was rushed to Sori Lakeside Hospital.
While at the facility, the girl is reported to have lost much blood and died.
