Ronaldo Faces Myriad of Challenges at Juventus, Should He Quit?

Could it be that Cristiano Ronaldo has met a nightmare in his new club Juventus?

The best way to answer this question is by looking at the truth-meter, that’s the facts. But first, how did he get in here?

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Italian champions Juventus from Real Madrid on a four-year contract for 100 million euros in 2018 after spending nine years in Spain.

The 33-year-old Portugal forward was the Spanish club’s all-time top scorer with 451 goals in all competitions and won two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies with them.

While in Spain, his statistics were easily comparable with Messi’s and were alternating on winning Ballon d’Or award, both of them currently have five awards each.

The Portuguese forward has had several challenges since landing in Italy.

Just recently, Ronaldo failed to proceed past the quarter-finals of the Champions League after Juventus was thrashed by Ajax.

To add more to his wound, Paulo Dybala’s agent early this week stated that Ronaldo is the root cause why Dybala will be leaving Juventus this summer.

In this same week, Juventus announced that coach Massimiliano Allegri will be leaving the club this summer and many have linked his move with the club failing to clinch the Champions League trophy even after signing Ronaldo.

Worst of all, this season’s statistics leave Ronaldo far behind Messi in terms of goals scored this season and assists.

Lionel Messi: 48 goals, 19 assists, directly involved in 67 goals

Cristiano Ronaldo: 28 goals, 10 assists, directly involved in 38 goals

This poor performance has left fans wondering whether the Portuguese star should leave Juventus or wait for better times next season.
