That’s Life! An Event That Saw Messi Smile For The First Time Since Liverpool Debacle

Lance Armstrong once said, “Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.”

Barcelona star Lionel Messi has not been the same again since Liverpool did wonders to them.

When Barcelona were crowned the winners of La Liga title, Messi as the team captain promised Barca fans that they will bring home Champions League title the same way they brought La Liga.

Few weeks after, Liverpool hammered the Spanish giants’ dream and humiliated them at Anfield, denying them the opportunity to proceed to the final.

Since then, Messi has had no joy.

But after being underground for over a week, Messi was called to receive the Creu de Sant Jordi. This was a great day for Messi as he smiled for the first time after a debacle in Liverpool.

He regained his courage, where he received the affection of everyone, his teammates, friends and family.

Nonetheless, Messi has successfully led Barca to win the La Liga title once again this season and also emerged the top scorer in the Spanish League.
