The battle on who is best placed to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta has left the central region more confused than ever in the history of Kenya.
Being the dominant tribe and the most selfish, almost 40% of the governors and top officials from the region has declared interest to either deputize or take the lead position, even those with less substance to offer to the community and Kenyans in general.
They are countless, Mwangi Wa Iria, Mwangi Kiunjuri, William Kabogo, Francis Kimemia and maybe Moses Kuria who has made it public.

Folks imagine @RailaOdinga with nationwide support was rigged by the deep state 3 times. Who is Ruto who has no support beyond Rift Valley? At times we must face the realities of succession politics. Deep state can rig out Ruto and deploy the security agencies to contain him

The Luhya community has been termed as the second largest tribe in Kenya from Kikuyu but lack of one voice and union always make them serve as the opposition since the death of the late Kijana Wamalwa.
“Let check this clear and stop playing politics for the sake of making headlines, unity with a purpose is needed, the division and betrayal are too much, let end selfishness and appoint one person who can lead the community to the promised land,” he said.
Kirinyaga Woman representative Wangirichi also called for sobriety in the debate over the 2022 succession politics noting that its a debate that needs to be considered as critical.

Kihika: It’s Wambugu Ngunjiri who started talking 2022 politics; he started with the debt issue, going around saying “hatuna deni”. He then switched tactics to “kitaeleweka”. It’s the ‘Murathes’ & ‘Ngunjiris’ who want to keep taking us back to 2022 succession politics #NewsNight pic.twitter.com/VMCtEdQQb8

Macharia Gaitho: I wouldn't say that the media is focussing too much on succession politics; I'd say that the politicians are focussing on it. Let us remember that development is politics. #PressPass pic.twitter.com/mbWq6Z3ibH
