Raila and Uhuru Go Silent, as Fake Gold Scam Brutally Exposes them

Kenyans have been forced to revisit a famous quote by former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga who lamented on the effects of cartels working with politicians:

“The influence of the cartels is overwhelming, They are doing illegal business with politicians. If we do not fight [them], we become their slaves.” Mutunga said in 2015.

This quote makes a lot of sense at the moment when the Fake Gold Debate takes centre stage with the key players; Zaheer Jhanda and Jared Otieno having close ties to senior politicians.

Never before, has the Kenyan political class been so vulnerable until now after being exposed by the investigations into the fake gold scam.

Jhanda and Otieno are key players in the conning of the United Arab Emirates ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Interestingly both of them have been pictured with leaders across the political divide, making it hard for these politicians to politicise the whole saga.

Recently, during investigations into the Arror and Kimwarer Dams Scandal, Raila led his group in bashing DP William Ruto while Ruto said the investigations were politically motivated. In the end, nobody was arrested. They went back to their thieving.

But with the gold scandal, there is no politics because it has implicated everyone from the President all the way to upcoming politicians like Johnstone Sakaja.

Kenya has many political factions; TangaTanga, Kieleweke, Wiper, Handshake; None of them has spoken about the fake gold scandal. Because they are all guilty.

Jhanda made sure he protected himself by hanging around the power brokers and kept an album of pictures as evidence.

In an undated picture, Jhandi is seen greeting Uhuru Kenyatta as the President disembarks from a military chopper.

In another, he is seen shaking hands with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

There is also an image of him speaking to Deputy President William Ruto and another in which he is seen engaged in discussions with Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his deputy Farah Maalim.

Even Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, who is viewed as a performer, has not been left out. There is a picture of him with these scammers.

Jared Otieno has interacted with Kisumu governor Anyang’ Nyong’o, Nairobi Senator Johnstone Sakaja among many other influential politicians.

So how do the politicians make this go away? You won’t be reading any story involving them on mainstream media. Unfortunately for them, we bloggers are running with the stories.

The DCI, is under the Ministry of Interior and the only logical move will be for Matiang’i to give orders that the two men should be let off the hook.

We expect that Otieno and Jihanda will be released at one time, but this expose should serve as a lesson to all Kenyans, that non of these leaders is clean. They are all PIGS!
