Unfortunately, periods happen to everyone and they are definitely going to happen to them. However your period will typically return about six to eight weeks after you give birth, if you aren’t breast feeding .If you do breastfeed, the timing for a period to return can vary. Those who practice exclusive breastfeeding might not have a period the entire time they breastfeed.

1.Breast milk will be affected

For instance, you might notice a decrease in your milk supply or a change in how often your baby wants to nurse. The hormone changes might also affect your breast milk’s composition and how it tastes to your baby. These changes are usually very minor, however, and shouldn’t affect your ability to breastfeed your baby.

This is because again, you did just push out a human and your vagina and uterus have been through quite a lot. Make sure to ask your doctor for pain meds that you can take that will not affect the baby.

4.Irregular cycle lengths

Your cycle may be out of whack for a few months due to your hormones going back to normal. You may get your period earlier or later than usual. If your irregular period continue way past 6 weeks, make an appointment with a gynecologist.
