Power blackout in Wajir has created an uproar from disappointed Kenyans who have now put the Jubilee government on spot over failed promises to the county following the dire consequences the county is facing as a result of electricity problems.
Its been reported that Wajir businesses have recorded business losses as two month power blackout bites.

Eldas MP Aden Keynan formerly pledged to sponsor a censure motion against the Energy CS for ignoring to solve Wajir electricity problems as the President ordered.
Keynan said that in 2017 Uhuru, while campaigning in Wajir, promised to have the area connected to the national grid. But it hasn’t happened two years on.
President Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto promised on April 8, 2017, that residents would have reliable electricity.
“Mr President, commitments are godly, come to the rescue of your people,” Keynan appealed to Uhuru.
A video has also been posted in reminder of Ruto giving Wajir residents fake hopes over a month ago over addressing their problem but still the tax payers are suffering.
