Kenyan Singer Gabu has opened up about his dating and relationship life revealing that he has been with his lover for 7 years now although he keeps it private.
According to him, he is certain that having dated for this long makes him a married man.
The ‘Mastory’ hitmaker says that he likes keeping his family life private and this can be the main reason why he rarely posts about his lover.
Gabu says that he does not feel the need of making an announcement because in case they fallout, the whole world will hear about it.
“Si lazima kutangaza kwasababu ukianza kutangaza alafu kwa bahati mbaya mkikosana ulimwengu mzima unajua” he said
Gabu understands that it might be important for people to know who his lover is but he maintains that it is not a must.
The artiste mentioned that the disadvantage of making a relationship public is the pressure that comes from social media platforms.
Gabu have an example of Vera Sidika’s relationship with Otile Brown saying that they somehow had to feed the fans what they wanted to keep the relationship going otherwise people would assume that they had broken up if they did not update on social media.
Gabu believes that family life is private and that is how it should be. Is this what every celebrity/musician should do?
The Singer believes that everyone has their own way of doing things and perceptions differ. He, however, insists that keeping family and dating life private is his choice of how to do it.
