On Monday morning, State House spokes person Kanze Dena was the centre of Kenyans attention as she was being interviewed on Radio Maisha. Lack of proper or none at all communication from the presidents office has been worrying many who feel everything is not okay.

Among the issues she addressed is that of Uhuru’s accounts deactivation which she has stated revival is at the luxury of the president and he can do as he pleases.

State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita who disclosed that Uhuru’s accounts had been compromised has been very active lately about government programs. Kanze has clarified that they both had different roles and hence no conflict of interest.

“There is a difference between Nzioka Waita’s role and my role and it is not true that there’s any conflict,” Kanze explained.

She added that “When it requires him to speak or respond to an issue of public interest then he does so because he too works for the same President and our goal is the same”

Admitting to mishaps that have happened on her watch, she stated that she was concentrating on the future.

“I agree that the communication from my side as the State House Spokesperson has had a setback, and I accept that a mistake was made.
