Ruto: Those against church contributions will face God’s judgement

In the wake of the conflicted debate on whether churches should accept the generous and lofty contributions handed to them by leaders, Deputy President William Ruto has eventually come out to state his stance.

“We will support the church because we are commanded,” Ruto said quoting a scripture from Galatians 6:10.

The deputy president, who is reported to have raised funds for more than 20 churches in Turkana County on Sunday, said that his critics must know that going to church and making contributions for their development is voluntary and no one should feel offended.

These sentiments were however met by mixed reactions from several Kenyan online.
