Kenyans are keenly eyeing the supplementary budget table in the national Assembly Thursday which it has already been revealed has allocated sh 365 million to the presidency.
This is part of sh 163.6 billion the Treasury wants the Members of Parliament to approve.
Of the allocation, Sh 279 million is for State House affairs and Sh 366 million for the Office of the Deputy President.
Curiously, the Treasury is also seeking approval of Sh 3.5 billion for the Kimwarer multipurpose dam development project despite corruption allegations that led to investigations into the alleged misappropriation of at least Sh 21 billion allocated to the project.
Already, Cabinet secretaries Henry Rotich (Treasury), Mwangi Kiunjuri (Agriculture) and Eugene Wamalwa (Devolution) have been interrogated by Directorate of Criminal Investigation officers over the matter. They have not been charged in court.
This comes as the country is in non-calm situation due to the MPs house allowance that is set to gobble up a whole sh 1.2 billion.
