Amount of money each MP was to pocket for attending Murang’a Rally

Tanga tanga members of parliament are a sad lot after it was alleged that President Uhuru Kenyatta had a Hand in cancellation of the much waited for Muranga Rally slated for Saturday 11th.

It is a little wonder that DP William Ruto’s prayer rally was set on such a convenient date. However, the Country’s big guy has spoilt their fun by canceling the event.

Over 150 members of Parliament had positioned themselves for Sh30,000 slotted for those who would attend the weekend rally in Murang’a.

This message was like a Ballard to pro-Uhuru Kenyatta allied MPs in Central province who felt the event would undermine the President.

Pro Ruto MPs however openly state, Uhuru has never visited the region compared to Ruto since he was voted in for the second term.

According to some of the organizers of the event, churches involved had been advanced sh. 5 million for early preparations.

Part of the cash was to be channeled towards ferrying followers, hiring of public address system, soft drinks including soda and water among other social amenities that may be needed on the material Saturday.

Among those who had confirmed their attendance were Women Representatives Catharine Waruguru(Laikipia), Ann Ngirici (Kirinyanga), Sabina Chege (Murang’a), Janet Nangambo (Trans Nzoia) and Senator Mithika Linturi (Meru).

Others are David Gikaria (Nakuru Town East), Silvanus Osoro (South Mugirango), Richard Tongi (Nyaribari Chache), Joash Nyamoko (North Mugirango), John Waluke (Sirisia), Mululu Ijendi (Malava) and Emanuel Wangwe (Navakholo).
