The blue host Frankfurt in pursuit of a second Europa League

Chelsea will be out to produce nothing less of a win when they hostGermanside Eintracht Frankfurt at Stamford Bridge that will qualify them for the second Europa League to meet either Arsenal or Valencia.

Their first leg match against Frankfort saw the blues get a late score to cancel a goal from the German side through Pedro which was an enough away goal for the English side.

But that is not safe enough for them as they will have to show a great quality football play to guarantee them a final spot.

Chelsea last won their first Europa League back in 2013 when they played against Portugal side, Benfica in Amsterdam after beatingthem2-1 to claim the trophy.

Chelsea was the first UEFA Champions League title holders to play in the following season’s Europa League, after becoming the first Champions League holders to be eliminated in the group stage.

With this triumph, they became the first Champions League holders to win the Europa League, since the 2013 Champions League Final had not been played then.

A qualification for Chelsea and Arsenal would be a historical event in the football world meaning that the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League would be an England-all-affair.

The blues will, unfortunately, miss the service of their midfielder Ng’olo Kante who will be out until next season for an injury picked in their last match against Watford which they won 3-0 to go top four.

Mateo Kovacic is expected to deputise in midfield in Kante’s absence, while Europa League regulars Emerson Palmieri, Willian and Olivier Giroud are in line to start.

Frankfurt, meanwhile, has welcomed back Croatia forward Ante Rebic ahead of the trip to London who’s return could see Mijat Gacinovic dropped to the bench.
