Gospel Celebrities yesterday graced the Red Carpet; groove nomination event which went down last night at the Kenya National Theatre.
The event saw the unveiling of the 2019 nominees for the Groove awards which is an annual gospel award event.
Some of the celebrities who were in attendance include Eko Dydda together with his sons, Master piece, Chris Kirwa, Dj Sadic, Moji Short Baba among others.
The event was hosted by Abel the MC and Ivy as the co host.
Other media personalities who were spotted during this red carpet event include TV host Chipukeezy and NRG Radio presenter Mwalimu Racheal.
This year, the nominees are battling under 23 categories with a
split of the Breakthrough Artists Category to accommodate both the Male and Female artists separately.
There is also an introduction of new categories; Online/Digital Personality of the Year, Young Groover of the Year and the Diaspora Artists of the Year category.
This year’s groove awards theme is: “Better Together.” The idea behind this theme is to focus on the message of unity in building better relationships, synergies and societies. It also encourages a spirit of togetherness and highlights how togetherness helps build powerful and stronger bonds.
2019 Groove award winners will be announced on 1st June 2019 at the Gala Awards ceremony in Nairobi.
