Detectives drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Wednesday reigned in a man believed to have completely gouged a woman’s eye after a near-deadly assault.
The thug has been on the run since he committed the crime in 2018, but detectives have been trailing him since the matter got into their hands.
During the launch of Social Justice Centre in Kisauni, the victim pensively narrated the assault on her by the man who would make her lose one eye.
Mr Victor Odhiambo Omanya, a 28-year-old man was arrested Wednesday evening in Kayole by sleuths who have had him on their radar, and were only waiting for the right moment to pounce on him.
The Kisauni woman approached DCI Kinoti during the conference, narrating to him what had happened during the fateful day.
She has never seen justice since the gruesome assault on the hapless lady.
The Social Justice forum was to lay down mechanisms that would protect women folk from the vagaries of gender-based violence and abuse.
Mr Odhiambo, however, is cooling his feet at the dingy DCI police cells before criminal proceedings are launched against him.
