KTN news anchor recounts journalistic humble beginnings

The KTN news anchor, Ben Kitili, has motivated the young generation after he shared a throwback memory of how he started his journalistic life. Through his Instagram account, he revealed that he started working in a media house as young as 11 years old.

He said; “Exactly 11 years ago – while still in university – on May 9th, 2008, I joined K24 TV as a sports intern..the rest, as they say, is history..it’s been quite the journey..I thank God.”

Ben anchors KTN prime news. As the KTN political editor, he is charged with ensuring concise and analytical political news coverage. He spearheads all political news operations at KTN and also files reports on KTN Prime when not on set.

Eight years ago, Kitili had no job to hold on to. He was rejected by several radio stations in the country, often being told he was not cut out to be a presenter.

After leaving K24, he joined NTV where he ended becoming a top news anchor. He is the CEO of Dreamtac Events and founder of Kitili foundation.

He is married to Amina Mude. He got married to long-time girlfriend in a super private wedding on Friday 16th November 2018.

The two made their cross-cultural and cross-religious union official at the AG’s office before hosting their families, close friends and colleagues for a lavish wedding dinner at the Panari Hotel.

Ben proposed to his beautiful girlfriend in 2015 and they have been blessed with a beautiful daughter – Ruby Iman Nzembi Kitili, 3.
