Bad boss equal to worse employees

We all share a love-hate relationship with our managers and have good and not-so-good days at work. But in case, every day at the workplace seems to be a struggle and you are dealing with a toxic boss.

Bullying bosses negatively impact an employee’s work performance and ultimately dig their own grave. Dealing with a bad boss decreased an employee’s ‘organisational citizenship behaviour’ and in fact, increased the ‘counterproductive work behaviour’.

The examples of ‘counterproductive work behavior’ include coming late to office, taking longer and frequent breaks, doing task incorrectly or not giving it your best shot, and similar performance-related issues that can impact the team and co-workers.

Employees are less likely to do extra work such as helping their teammates, attending meetings that are not mandatory or any other work that can help the company.

Managers need to improve their interpersonal and management skills when dealing with their teammates.
