Ruto’s Former Ally comes back to frustrate his 2022 Ambitions

Barely a month after its formation, Moses Kuria’s new Transformation National Alliance (TNA) party has come back to blame certain individuals in Ruto’s camp for state capture as well as the current massive graft, tribalism and nepotism being witnessed in public institutions.

Mose Kuria who was one time Ruto’s point man in the central region fell out with his boss after it was alleged that Kuria was locked out of key important meetings between Ruto and his other allies at Weston hotel some months back.

Kuria went ahead and formed his new TNA party to counter the Jubilee government. And in a move to tame Ruto, the party’s officials say an individual in Jubilee has been largely responsible for the systematic political corruption in Jubilee that has influenced a number of decisions being made in government projects, decisions which are only meant to benefit few.

Speaking at the office of the Registrar of Political Parties on Monday, TNA officials said corruption has destroyed millions of Kenyan lives and have called on citizens to now take matters into their own hands and punish the perpetrators.

”There is one more national liberation area that remains, and that is the social and economic well being of our people,”  said TNA Secretary General Arnold Maliba

The party is seen as a breakaway faction of Jubilee especially in the Mt Kenya region and it is trying to revive the dissolved original TNA (The National Alliance) Party. Politicians from the region say the dissolution of TNA rendered the region politically homeless after DP Ruto took over the party by planting friendly candidates who were later rigged in during Jubilee’s chaotic nominations.

“Self-rule and good governance amount to nothing if they cannot be translated to social and economic value for the people; this truth is loftily captured as an aspiration in Article 43 of our Constitution,” Maliba said.
