After leaving Gor Mahia disappointed after they denied the Kenyan champions three crucial points and derailing their march towards the KPL 2019 title, Western Stima still have a huge task ahead of them as they visit 2nd Placed Sofapaka at Machakos.

The results left a confident Gor Mahia coach frustrated since he looked forward to bagging maximum points but Western Stima came out tougher than they anticipated.

Gor remained leaders with 7 points clear from second-placed Sofapaka who also failed to pick a victory against Tusker FC to close the gap to 5 points.

The result sees Western Stima tie points at 31 with 12th placed KCB.

Sofapaka, on the other hand, blew a 2 goal lead to draw 2-2 with Tusker in a Kenya Premier League match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday afternoon.

The draw left Sofapaka on 53 points, seven points behind leaders Gor Mahia.

Given their recent 5 match results, Batoto ba mungu are most likely to draw having won two games and drawing three of their last encounters with Tusker Fc, Posta Rangers, Mathare United, Sony Sugar and Kariobangi Sharks.

Visiting Western Stima on the other hand have conceded two games, won and drew two in their last five matches but their ability to hold League leaders Gor Mahia to a draw proves they can pull through and disappoint Sofapaka with either a win or a draw.
