Bishop Takes Own Life as Congregants Wait for Sermon!

Congregants of Mwamba Faith By Works Ministries Church had their worship oddly extended after their church pastor failed to appear in church.

The congregants had assembled at the church grounds and has embarked on the services before the main sermon.

Anxiety would start to creep in after the church’s bishop failed to appear on his normal time, heightening speculations on his whereabouts.

The bishop, Mr Emmanuel Nyongesa Simiyu is said to have woken up on the ill-fated Sunday morning and headed straight to the kitchen where he is believed to have taken his own life.

Concerned worshippers were to later that weekend visit the pastor’s home to see for themselves what had happened.

“At first I did not believe that the bishop had killed himself. I spent Ksh 100 to go to his homestead and see for myself,” Grace Simuyu, one of the worshippers stated.

“For the past three months the bishop seemed disturbed and had promised to do something terrible,” a source told a local publication.

The area location Chief, Ms Mildred Chesoli, said the bishop did not leave a suicide note, making it difficult to know the motive behind his death.
