President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda has raised his voice over the current change in rainfall pattern.
Weather in East Africa has drastically changed according to the veteran president.
The prolonged downpour that used to be witnessed before no longer surfaces.
Museveni who is also a farmer claimed that environmental abuse is the main reason rainfall patterns have changed.
“Because of continued abuse of the environment, the rains are not as heavy and prolonged as expected,” posted Museveni on his Twitter account.

Research has also suggested that rainfall patterns in many regions will get worse, with sobering implications of human activities to feed the planet’s billions of people.
However, Kenya Met issued heavy rainfall alert in various parts of the country in May.

Environmental degradation is a slow death which will soon burry our land completely
You are right, I remember when I was still young, I stayed in Walukuba west in Jinja town near a wetland opposite Abbey Dhaire Memorial Stadium. The environment was indeed good.currently, the place is too polluted because it was all covered by industries and other businesses.
