How Bad is Salah, Firmino injury ahead of Barcelona? Klopp answers

Mohamed Salah is a major doubt for Liverpool’s second leg Champions League semi-final against Barcelona, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

Salah was stretched off in the second half of Saturday’s dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle after he suffered a blow to the head in a challenge with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

“He (Salah) got the hip of the goalkeeper on his head.” Klopp told Sky Sports.

“He was on the ground, the doctor had to make the decision and that was to take him off. We accepted that, of course.

On Firmino, who started on the bench against Barcelona in the first leg, he said: “he will not be ready for Tuesday and the rest of the season”.

Liverpool face a mammoth task of overturning a 3-0 deficit from last week.
