Kenyans on social media have castigated the incident noting that it wasn’t wise for Jumwa to act on that manner.

Jumwa and ODM has been fighting since her expulsion from the party due to gross misconduct.

An ODM MP who isn’t allowed to comment on behalf of the party has said that the by election will happen no matter what.

He states that the party officials have been called for a meeting next week to deliberate on the way forward.

Few months ago, Sifuna said that the party is ready to once again go into by-elections as way of punishing some party element that doesn’t respect officials.

“Tuko tayari kwa uchaguzi mdogo wa Malindi hata kama tutashindwa tena. Ni kweli tulishindwa lakini hatutabadili maadili yetu na kuingiwa na woga kwa sababu hiyo.

(We are ready for the by elections and will not be shaken or scared by the losses we recently registered in the initial ones. We cannot change our morals because of a defeat),” he said.

Raila Odinga was recently warned by the deputy president of wading his personal difference with him toward Jumwa.
