Caroline Mutoko warns woman against bedroom game during menstrual period

The month of May is a menstrual hygiene month meant to serve as a platform to create a united and strong voice for women and girls around the world, helping to break the silence about menstrual hygiene management.

Women and adolescent girls use a clean material to absorb or collect menstrual blood, and this material can be changed in privacy as often as necessary for the duration of menstruation.

Media personality Caroline Mutoko took her time to school women on personal hygiene.

Ms Mutoko said it’s proper to clean your vagina always the proper way.

“Wipe front to back not the other way round to avoid contracting infections”she said.

The former radio queen revealed that the choice of pants also increases the chances of getting infections than you start blaming sanitary towels or your partner.

The conversation on menstrual hygiene goes on, the queen of the mic added that proper hygiene while on your menses will protect you from various infections.

“Don’t introduce foreign objects in your vagina” she noted “Also stop using cloths and soaps to clean miss V”

The objectives of Menstrual hygiene Month are;

  • To address the challenges and hardships many women and girls face during their menstruation.
  • To highlight the positive and innovative solutions being taken to address these challenges.
  • To catalyse a growing, global movement that recognizes and supports girl’s and women’s rights and build partnerships among those partners on national and local level.
  • To engage in policy dialogue and actively advocate for the integration of menstrual hygiene management (MHM) into global, national and local policies and programmes.
  • To create an occasion for media work, including social media.
