Nzoia Sugar will have to pay a fine of 1 Million shillings after skipping the AFC Leopards clash which was set Bukhungu Stadium.
A resolution was passed by the governing council that any team which skips a match which set to be aired live on Tv will pay a fine of 1 Million shillings to cater for the losses incurred.
“This was going to be a live broadcast and skipping the game meant there would be repercussions,” Oguda told Goal.
“Nzoia will be fined Sh1 million for that; it is a resolution that was passed during our previous governing council meeting and they [Nzoia] are aware of what happens if you don’t honour a scheduled fixture.”
Nzoia sugar camped at Mumias Complex Stadium in Mumias town despite the broadcasters, opponents AFC Leopards and match official being set Bukhungu.
The millers insist that the had been cleared by KPL to have the clash at the venue.
Mumias complex declared unfit for KPL matches earlier this season.
