The rise of bestiality in Kenya(and around the world) is troublesome. Believe it or not, bestiality cases are all over the news. A flood of stories has emerged in just the past few weeks alone. What in the world is going on?

So what do they find so sexually appealing about these animals?

In part, it has to do with the animals scent. Believe it or not, 89 per cent asked in an interview said that a “musky smell” was a key factor in their animal partner’s attractiveness.

But it’s not just that—it’s really the smell and appearance of the genitals, in particular, that seems to be the crucial factor. In the words of the study’s authors, “the more wet, hairy, and smelly, the more attractive the animal is for zoosexuals.”

There was a shocking incident where four people were rescued by police from an angry mob for allegedly engaging in bestiality with a donkey.

Later a Murang’a County man who once had sex with a cow and jailed for the crim raped his 98-year-old grandmother and a two-year-old child belonging to a neighbour.

Village elder Jeremiah Ndung’u said the village remained haunted after the incident and they had to conduct a ceremony to cleanse the village.

Tens of people assembled at Nyati village, Kamahuha area in Maragua constituency for a religious rite to cleanse a playground where four men allegedly held unnatural act with a donkey.
The interdenominational prayers were held under a mango tree at the Nyayo playground.
The cleansing ceremony took three hours and prayers that were led by Rev Harun Muiruri of the Africa Independent Pentecostal Church.

“We condemn the incident in the strongest terms and as parents we are duty bound to guide our children in the right way,” said Muiruri.
Village elder Jeremiah Ndung’u on said the village remained haunted after the incident.
“The cleansing ceremony will open a new chapter as the locals will be vigilant,” said the village elder.

He called on the members of the public not to shy away exposing the criminals in their midst.
Churches represented at the prayers were Independent Pentecostal Faith and Liberty, Redeemed Gospel, African Mission.
