Parents usually assume that all you need is school fees, lunch money and transport allowance. The reality is, you’re now an adult, you want to make your own money to hangout with your friends and to have a sense of independence. You’re not only looking forward to graduate but you’re trying to fit into this adult life because even if you’re still at home you’re already stressed about getting a job and how you will survive as a grown up. Here are things you can do to make money while in university.

1. Sell your talents

If you can sing, draw, modeling or even cook you can always turn your talent into money. If you can sing there are usually bands that are looking for part-time singers, you can join them some nights and earn a few extra shillings. Join online groups on Facebook or sell your talents online such as paintings or offer your services such as teaching music or selling food online.

It sounds hard but sometimes all it takes is a step of faith. You can earn as much as 80k a month with a functional kiosk. At the same time you can ask your university to allow you to put a table outside to sell clothes or other items. Work with your student union to allow you to expand your entrepreneurial skills.

3. Become a marketing agent

Marketing agents are usually hired by companies to sell their products. It’s not an easy job but you can find a way to be a great marketing agent/sales representative. Try applying online at least they don’t usually need much qualifications.

You should get a part-time job either as a data entry clerk or a waitress or a receptionist. You can get into evening classes if money is what you really need as soon as possible.

Most universities have programs that allow students to apply for a job within the school. This will be convenient since you will be able to come from your job and head to class. They usually look for library assistants, administrative jobs, data entry and jobs that won’t take too much time but will get you some money.

An online shop doesn’t take much, you just have to be consistent with good captions and sometimes you can boost your posts. You can sell clothes online, books and literally anything. You can organize with a boda boda to be delivering your items if need be.

Try these online business ideas that can help you get rich. You never know where your  money will come from in the online market, you could be a writer, a forex trader, a data entry clerk and even an online tutor. Find out what you like, what won’t take too much time and try do it online.
