Lady Jaydee breaks down live in studio in memory of her late mother

The ‘siku hazigandi’ hitmaker, Lady Jaydee, had an emotional moment during a live interview at Wasafi FM after she was asked about the experience of losing a mother.

The radio presenter was hesitant in asking the question but the moment she asked it, Jaydee couldn’t hold her tears. She turned away from the microphone and the presenters were forced to call for a break.

She lost her mother in April 2018 after she succumbed to bladder cancer. She died t her home in Dar e Salaam. Jaydee’s brother, Dabo Mbibo, broke the news saying his mother succumbed after a long battle with bladder cancer.

Lady Jaydee’s rep, Lucy Mosha, said Ms Mbibo’s condition had improved significantly in the recent past; “She was, previously, admitted to Muhimbili National Hospital and when her condition improved, she was discharged. Until her death, she was being attended to at home. We’d take her to hospital occasionally for check-up.”She died aged 72.

Before her death, Jaydee had revealed through her Instagram account that her mother was battling cancer and asked her fans to pray for her; “I have faith that God will heal my mum and raise her from the bed, which she has been confined to for the past two months. It is only God who has the powers to do that.
