Man dies mysteriously after axing firewood at his sister’s funeral

Somber mood hits residents of Shing’oto village Kakamega County after a man mysteriously died after axing firewood at his late sister’s funeral and writing her eulogy.

The man only identified as Joash was giving a hand in preparation of his late sister Tina Amunyobi’s burial ceremony since he was the first born.

Confirming the incident, Kakamega County Woman representative Elsie Muhanda advised his kins to preserve his body to the morgue.

“We just decided to have the body preserved at home. Money had already been spent in preparing for the burial of his sister,” said one of the relatives.

The deceased mother, Mulukota Milka was in shock after her son failed to wake up since they depended on him to come up with arrangements to transport his sister’s body from the morgue.

“He was very useful in funeral arrangements. The previous day, he helped in preparing firewood. Apart from that, he even wrote Amunyobi’s eulogy. After he failed to wake up, I went to check on him only to find that he was no more,” said Mulukota .

Joash died April 26 2019 a day before his late sister’s burial.
