De Gea owns up his mistakes against Chelsea at halftime in three words

David De Gea has been the centre of talks and criticism in the past for his David weakening goalkeeping skills which many have attributed to his unsettledness at the club over n unextended contract and linked move to Real Madrid and PSG.

The United Keeper has put the poorest record of his life in the last three or so months with fans demanding that he gets subbed by the second keeper Sergio Romelu.

De Gea reportedly apologised to his Manchester United team-mates during the half time break following his clanger against Chelsea.

The Red Devils were leading the Stamford Bridge club by a goal to nil this weekend after Juan Mata finished off a superb attacking move.

But Antonio Rudiger caught De Gea out with a speculative long-range effort that the Spain international should have caught with ease.

Instead, De Gea, who has made countless mistakes in recent weeks, spilt the ball into the path of compatriot Marcos Alonso.

And the Chelsea defender made no mistake chipping the ball over the flailing United shot-stopper and into the back of the net to draw the scores level.

According to The Sun, De Gea spoke to his Manchester United team-mates in the changing room during the half time break.

The Spaniard held his hands up to his mistake and allegedly told them: “I f***** up”.

De Gea is going through a tough time at United at the moment and has also made costly errors against both Barcelona and Manchester City.

He is still in a contract stand-off with the Red Devils, and it’s unclear whether he will pen a new deal in the summer of leaving Old Trafford.
