Akothee surprises pregnant women with free medical camp

Singer Akothee has stepped in for pregnant mothers by organizing a free maternal health open day in Nairobi.

The mother of five has revealed via her social media account that she has the experience of what mums go through during pregnancy.

This has propelled her to liaise with a private healthcare facility to help women overcome the common challenges.

“I AM HERE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN I have no degree in Education yet , but I have MASTERS in carrying pregnancy both in depression and in happiness.”

“Both as a teenager and a grown woman , both in poverty and in riches , pregnancy challenges can be handled if well managed lets meet on the 4th of MAY @rfhhealthcare bring your family for a free medical open day.”

The free maternal open day will be conducted at city’s RFH Specialist Hospital on 4th May Saturday.

The camp will offer an opportunity to talk on maternal health and child welfare.

According to UNICEF, 7,000 newborn babies died every day in 2017, mostly from preventable and treatable conditions including infections.
