Stop gossiping in your profession, Pope tels hairdressers

We all know if you want to know the latest gossip in the estate visit a salon.

Well Pope Francis has now urged hairdressers to shun gossip and use their time at the salon in a more christian manner.According to Pope,
hairstylists and beauticians should not engage in gossip while feathering locks or painting fingernails.

While speaking during a meeting he held with the specialists at Vatican he said, “Practise your profession in a Christian style, treating customers with kindness and courtesy, and always offering them a good word and encouragement,”

In addition he said, “avoiding giving in to the temptation of chatter that easily creeps into your work environment.”


He further, advised the group of 230 pilgrims to follow their patron saint Martino de Porres (1579-1639), canonized in 1966 by his predecessor Paul VI.

The barber-surgeon was canonized for his supposed miracles of levitation, being in two places at once, instant cures and communicating with animals. Porres is also the patron saint of mixed-race people.

“each of you, in your professional work, can always act with righteousness, thus making a positive contribution to the common good of society,”  said pope
