Kenyan Premier League defending Champions Gor Mahia have moved seven points clear at the top of the table after edging Ulinzi Stars 2-1 in a match played at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

The record champions, fresh from beating Tusker FC over the weekend rested Jacques Tuyisenge and Dennis Oliech with Hassan Oktay opting for Nicholas Kipkirui to lead the attack. Ernest Wendo and Hashim Sempala were trusted to run things in midfield.

The record champions went ahead with barely a minuted played through
Erissa Ssesikambu who coolly slotted home following a nice team move. The match turned scrappy afterward owing to the poor state of the pitch that made it almost impossible for either team to string a few passes together.
